University can be a stressful time in your life.
The rising cost of tuition, the increased burden of student debt and the pressure to succeed can all negatively affect your mental health. What’s worse is that mental health is rarely discussed, frequently ignored and those who are suffering from mental health issues are often stigmatized in our society.
At the last Annual General Meeting , attendees voted to address issues of mental health on campus, focusing on:
• Fighting stigma around mental illness
• Ending discrimination against and the dismissal of students with mental health concerns
• Increasing support and improving resources for students on campus.
