Ontario Tuition Grant
In 2012, the provincial government introduced the Ontario Tuition Grant (OTG). For the 2013-2014 academic year, if you are eligible, you will receive $1,730.
You are not eligible for the OTG if you are studying part time, in a graduate program, more than four years out of high school, studying as an international student, studying in a second-entry program or if your parents make $160,000 or more.
How to apply:
If you are already receiving OSAP, you will be considered automatically for the grant, but may not receive the grant due to the strict eligibility requirements. If you do not receive OSAP, you may apply for the OTG at osap.gov.on.ca.
Your Students’ Union is working with students across the province through the Canadian Federation of Students to ease the strict eligibility requirements on this grant.
